Similar to Ask The Cast - ask me anything!
Questions can be comic related or not, I'm game for just about anything. Only thing I won't give out are spoilers, but that one's pretty obvious.

Okay, logistical question. They can't eat, they can only drink, they heal from anything with blood and they still get aroused. Because of the arousal I can only assume the heart still pumps blood and keeps it fresh. Yes?
And what of hair? If they are frozen in time, why does hair grow out enough to shave? And does it? (same for nails)

Hair and nail growth are two aspects of their bodies that still work as though they were living. They are only half dead, and so are really only half changed; parts of their biology have ceased to work or have been altered, while other parts are unaffected.
Their hearts do pump blood however the blood doesn't remain fresh for long, hence their needing to take more of it on a daily basis. Blood generally remains in their system for a day or two before it gets flushed. It also only remains warm for a small amount of time after they first take it; this is the only time when arousal is possible.

hmm... okay, since the decay of cells it what causes most signs of aging and... how does the blood get flushed, then? does it follow a very odd digestive rule since they drink it or is there another even more complex method? (I know I'm probably over thinking this, but I've made a few unique vampire races, myself)

Their bodies change in order to process the blood; when they drink it it enters their blood stream. It literally becomes the blood in their veins. After it's run its course the blood is expelled the same way everything else is, though not all at once and not every drop of it (that would kill them). A small amount always remains in their system just to keep it running, but they can't function off of it.
It really can't be explained in much more detail without just saying that magic is involved.

Could I possibly querry for more incredibly sexy violence in the future? Possibly as optional backgrounds or in-comic? O-O

There will absolutely be more sexy violence in the future, as I REALLY like drawing it. ;D

Was asked something on the Smackjeeves site that I'm going to copy over and answer here as well. I've kinda been waiting for someone to ask about it.
Q. "how come they have to murder their meals? cant they just rob a blood bank or knock the meal out and take what they need?"
A. They enjoy the kill. The other methods would work but they wouldn't be as satisfying.
EDIT: Another question in response to that one.
Q. "Would they be so disinclined to take a meal from a willing "victim" though?"
A. A willing victim would be killed simply because in order for them to be willing, they would first have to know of the existence of dauors, and that isn't allowed.
In a hypothetical situation where a living person knows of them, is allowed to live with that knowledge, and is willing to donate, then yes, the dauor could take their blood, but it would be less satisfying to them than hunting. It wouldn't be a pleasant experience for the donor either, most dauors have no way of taking blood painlessly.

Hmm.... I very much like the design that is coming forth. For all that they're pretty and socially acceptable, your vamps don't even have to option to get all wussed out and "besouled"
But that doesn't stop me from wanting to get Darell some friends. Are there any other magical type people that may or may not be in the making? Weres/banshees/elves/ghouls/witches...?

There is one more kind of supernatural being that hasn't been introduced yet. That's all I'll say on that subject. "Ghoul" is actually another word humans have come up with for dauors. Vampires, revenants, ghouls... anything in folklore that rises from the grave to terrorize or feed off of humans was based off sightings of a dauorivekur or a haldauor. "Vampire" just happens to be the most commonly used term.

Are dauors a human only thing, or is it possible to have a blood thirsty kitten for all eternity?
*edit* And for non-comic related things, subs or dubs? And what sorts of tabletop games do you play, assuming you do? Do you stick with D20 based games, White Wolf's stuff, or other odd systems, like Aces&Eights or Ars Magica?

It's a human-only thing.
I watch a couple of shows dubbed (Cowboy Bebop, FLCL) but for the most part I'm all about subbed anime. Also this is really embarrassing, but I haven't actually played a tabletop RPG yet! I've read through all of the D&D books, have a set of dice, have a character written up, but the friends I was planning on doing it with could never coordinate their schedules so it never happened.
I know I could just go to a game shop and play with people there, but I don't really feel like losing my tabletop gaming virginity to a group of strangers who've been playing for years. It seems like the kind of thing that's better with friends, y'know?

Poor Lego. A combination of skype(or something similar) and openrpg might be useful for overcoming schedule problems. It's how I've dealt with it anyway. If you ever start playing, I recommend playing around with a lot of different systems. And to add a question into this post, which edition of D&D have you looked at?

...I will have to bookmark that site. I am intrigued.
We had the 3.5 books; everyone I've talked to has preferred that to 4.0.
